Default just installed lid and k&n....WOW

just got done installing lid i purchased (transparent) and a new k&n. i really wasn't expecting to feel the difference like i did. it is enough that in first when i punch it, the tires roll over a good amount and didn't do that before. the only thing i didn't like a ton was the fitment, wasn't the best fitment and has a few places that u can clearly see small gaps.

Try finding some thin weatherstripping at Lowes/Home Depot and seal off the lid. I had to do mine, takes a few minutes and it's better than worrying about what's getting sucked in the engine.

I'm just looking for a lid for mine. That makes me want one even more. It's hard to believe that such a minor thing can make such a big difference.

Funny, I remember only a slight change in sound and throttle response. You guys must have "super" F-bodies...

eeh I think it may be your imagination. You think you should feel more power. I did have a change in sound and better throttle response though. (I'm not saying you guys are wrong by any means though) Thats really cool if you did feel more power though...

Man I have gone thrugh 3 different brand lids now, and felt that sensation every single time! hahahahahah.... J/K When I first got mine it made pretty good difference in the upper end and you can hear the air gets sucked in now which was the best part. Now I have finally settle down to my 4th lid, which is kind of a funny, because the lid that I have now which I like the most out of all is the stock BlackWing lid that the SLP optioned cars has.

well i know its not my imagination that the wheels now roll over a good amount all the way through first, when they didn't before. i think the lid and filter together add a good amount of power considering the mod.
