Default Ditching a magnaflow for a flowmaster

I'm looking at replacing my magnaflow muffler for a crossflow flowmaster. The magnaflow is way too tame for me. My last ls1 z28 had a hooker muffler on it also and it was way too quiet. I'd thought about doing a loudmouth, but i've got a cutout and it's too loud, so I can't see much difference between the two. Also, im getting longtubes soon, so it would sound like *** with the loudmouth. I've visited ls1sounds.com and listened to LS1s and for the price the flowmaster sounds good. While i'd like to go all out and get a borla or corsa, it's just not in my budget right now and the rest of the catback don't interest me. As far as the flow issue i've heard about flowmasters, i've got a cutout for the track and I really don't believe a muffler is that restrictive. All exhausts sound good online, but is the flowmaster going to be alot louder than the magnaflow?

it'll definitely be louder than the magnaflow. about roughly twice the volume i'd say. you'll probably lose ~5-10 horsepower during the swap, so be warned. but you have a cutout that you can open for performance, so run the muffler you think sounds the best IMO.

I disagree completely. I had the Flowmaster 80 with headers and ory. My friend has Magniflow w/Jethots and ory. His car is louder and sounds better then mine did by far. Wait till you do the lts and see how you like it.

I have an almost brand new Flowmaster catback I'll trade you for the Magnaflow if that's the direction you're wanting to go.

LT's w/ORY and Magnaflow sound like ***.

If you want your **** to sound like a truck, go for it. It will sound better with the Flowmaster, and you will not lose any performance with the cutout open.

Did you also run a cutout? I'm not saying I would run Flowmaster, but it sounds better than Magnaflow with an ORY.

I wouldn't suggest either without a cutout.

Also I wasn't talking about sound, I was talking about power loss, and not by the butt-dyno.
