Default Cutout (I pipe Vs Borla)

I'm looking to purchase an electric cutout. I just put on a catted y pipe and I love the sound it makes with no rasp but it made my car a LOT quieter. I wanted a setup where I could make my car louder on demand and i'd like your opinions. Should I place a cutout directly after the y pipee joins or should I put it on my adjustable borla? How different will the noise level be? Would the cutout even be worth the extra sound if its that far down the exhaust? Will I lose ground clearance?

how about an E-cutout at the end of each header. that will be the same as running open ehaders and give you a very loud sound and offer best performance and bypass the cats.

well #1 issue = ground clearance, then sound. I can not afford to lose any more whatsoever. I was also trying to get away with only needing to buy one.

ok correct me if im wrong so I can help ya out. the borla has the plates, and I do beleive you can run the wide open plate so its not restricted and very similar to a straight-through design correct?

If you do have the open plate I really dont see a cutout adding much hp sicne the brola already would be flowing great. But you may get a few ponies, like 5 and you can put the cutout under the rear seats. GM amde a perfect little spot for it back there

Cutouts at each header work best with a big cam and making power.

If you are going with an E cutout go DMH as they have a 4 year warranty for starters.

the borla cutout was refering to goes in where the plate area goes, so you can control what "plate" you want to run with the cutout.

Would the cutout by the rear seats add a lot of volume?

right I know where the cutout is, jsut wasnt sure if it bypasses the muffler all together or not. Its gonna be a little louder behind the rear seats simply because nothing will go through the cat-backa t that point and less distance to travel and the dump will be closer. unless you can get it in front of your cats its not gonna be THAT much louder
