Are you sure you are driving the same as before? You may be giving it more gas to hear the exhaust.

did this happen right away? theirs a chance that with time an 02 senser or your spark plugs are wear causing it, has it had a tune up lately? B/C when I replaced my stock catback It actually gave me better gas millage

Sounds like it is time for a tune-up if you ask me.

i called about having a tune up and they said it sounds like it would be a o2 sensor and im having it looked at tomorrow and i thought the gas mileage should have been better also. they said spark plugs shouldnt really make a difference cuz thats what they would do for the tune up but im going to see what they say tomorrow thanks for all the help

When do you fill up? I usually fill up at 1/4 around 250-260 miles. I have gone 300 miles to a tank a few times. Down to E. I am just curious to see how low you let your tank get.

how are you figuring out what a "tank" is? I'll fill my car up to when the pump clicks..then stop. I'll reset my odometer thing as soon as I start the car. I'll drive to when I want to fill up. Fill up till it clicks and divid the gallons into the miles that I traveled. I gain mpg from my catback and lid. Which you should do if all else stays the same. Which..normally it doesn't because people like the way the car sounds and get on it more.

how many miles are on your car? have you started to drive more in the city? how long has this been going on for?

I get 330 to a tank and I picked up 3 MPG after LT's and TD's. And that was with the typical getting on it to hear it.

i drive the car the same brandondrecksage i drive it down to E and its been about 2 weeks since this has started happening just to make sure it wasnt right after i got my exhaust on cuz everyone likes to here it but the second tank i drove normal and im still getting about 180 miles in the city and the most i got in all city was 250 miles and i rarely go out of town i have had the car for about 2 months and i bought it with just over 49000 miles and now its it got just under 51000 miles and im definitely goin to store this car i got a deal on it i got it for 10,500 and it was worth 14,775 i got it cheap cuz the guy never drove it cuz he bought it for his wife and just wanted to get rid of it and their was absolutely nothing wrong and before i got the exhaust i was getting about 17 mpg.

i dont know about ls1.. but i remember hearing about installing long tubes on an lt1 will sometimes throw off the knock sensor... but that may not be a problem on the ls1's..

well something had to change. an EXHAUST WILL NEVER DO THAT, but its a possibility that a o2 sensor went, just unlikely that it went at the same time as you putting on the new exhaust, but possible.

As far as the o2 did you use say PB Blaster or anything to that effect to loosen it up? Cause the PB will ruin an o2.

thats insane...def has to be an 02 as you said you havent been driving more aggressive, or maybe bad gas in your area? Other than that if its down that much maybe with the exhaust its causing your car to go real rich? Still being down 70 miles on a tank is a HUGE difference...maybe check the fuel filter and air filter? See if they are clogged and replace them if necessary?

have you filled up at a gas station that has ethanol in the gas? you'll get less mileage out of ethanol. at 51k...you shouldn't have to worry about plugs..ect. they should be good for 100k.
