Default ORY banging the floorboard

What is an effective and proper way to get rid of this. Its hanging down really low too.

I have the Pacestter headers with the Texas Speed ORY.

Help would greatly be appreciated.

Put poly motor mounts in....not the most fun job in the world but it's cheap ($50) and worth it. It'll cure your exhaust banging too.

Believe it or not Mufflex makes a bump-stop hanger for the y-pipe. I know it sounds like a crock but check it out on Thunderracings site.

Buy the Mufflex.

Get under your car and see where it is hitting (mine was my Spohn adj. TA). Use a pry bar on your y-pipe to put an inch or so clearance at the point where the y-pipe hits your car.

The slide a rubber exhaust hanger in to maintain the clearance while you install your Mufflex clamp. When the clamp is secure remove the exhaust hanger rubber.

Worked like a charm on my car and a lot easier than installing poly motor mounts once your headers are on.

do it like 4 times around the area that is bangin but if it vibrates really bad did you notch your k member? cuz that might have something to do with it.... my guess is that that header is riding right up next to it

Poly motor mounts. I just ordered them myself.

Tried the heater hose on my car and a friends and it felt like it made the vibraton worse.

I had problems with my QTP Y banging and hanging low.

What I did was this:
Jacked the exhaust up to about where I wanted it to sit.
Measured the distance from the Y-pipe to the floor.
Then I went to Maaco and for $11 I had a J-hook welded to a U-clamp.
(That included the hook, clamp and welding.)
The J-hook was bolted to the bottom of the floorboard and the U-clamp was put around the Y.
I will post pics up if you want to illustrate exactly what I'm talking about because I'm sure this is confusing as hell.

This solved the banging and the hanging low issues.
Poly mounts will probably solve the banging but won't fix hanging low.

One other thing I know alot of people are saying poly mounts and U bolt it to the floor bouard but unless you like to feel every vibration in your car those 2 solutions do just that I know I spent a week, and had it changed 10 times to come up with a solution that worked and I dont have to ever replace a mount, hanger, heater hose, or have to feel the vibrations cause I tried that and it sucked

Motor mounts, adjust the ory as neccesary. If it still bumps, then use the mufflex hanger, but the mounts should cure it.
