Why'd you choose that over a Weiand?

it uses stock style o-ring gaskets and the bbk is machined alot nicer than the weiand.

pretty straight forward. you have to replace one valley cover bolt on the back passenger side with a button bolt that comes with the intake. on the weiand i noticed that all the machined edges are sharp the the intake uses paper gaskets. the bbk is smooth all over and has plenty of room to be ported. i am very happy with it. i have not seen many ls6 swaps even with tb net a .4 and 4mph gain.

I felt more midrange torque when I swapped my LS6 for the Weiand.

Yeah it uses paper gaskets, but it's a brilliant intake.

That's about the same gains you would get if you switched to an LS6 and ported your stock throttle body.

Very nice gain at the track though.

I switched over from an LS1 intake manifold to a LS6 and i gain .3 on my et at the track. I mean its not .4 but it was hell of lot better than what it was before. The LS6 intake put me down into the 12's

Did you try hotlapping it a few times? Or did you run it after it was cool?

He used to be a sponsor here that did hella business as a tb porter and also cylinder heads. He stopped because he got too busy, but I think he takes on projects... good guy. ~Joshua

i have an auto so hot lapping is not gonna happen. dont want to overheat the verter or the tranny. i dont let the car completely cool off though and it was idling all the way through the staging lanes though.

good gains man..but i like the ls6 intake myself looks cleaner and it just seems that heatsoak would be a problem in a dailydriven car..IMO

They cost between $5xx and $8xx.

I can polish a satin one to a chrome-like finish for $325. Better than the factory! Here's mine. Like a crystal, flawless work.

Congrats on the gains. *might* have more to do with the weather though

Hot lapping the 4L60E isn't a huge issue for 2-3 passes... but with that intake it would be.
