Default mid's Vs. longtubes. and how do true duals looked dumped on ws6

im just curious if i can get a really good deal on some mid's and true duals that were meant for a camaro...where both have mufflers at the end and end up on the same side...looks good on camaro with straight enged rear bumper...but i was thinking about purchasing them since it is such a good deal and just gettin them and dumping them if they dont line up. has anyone done this before?

also will longtubes make that much of a difference than mids if i can get mids at a good price

long tubes will have the best gain and power.. true duals are normally dumper before the rear axle but somet ake them all the way out the back. 3' dumper or 3" off the ehaders into a 2.5 reducer and over the passenger side axle

Pacesetter longtubes and a universal X setup will run you right around $550. I would get longtubes hands down over the mid length headers any day of the week. If you were even considering mids, then you must not be concerned with emissions. There is no reason to not go longtube then! The power is significantly higher with the long tube style header. I would definitely go with the Pacesetters. For the price they are really hard to beat.

BTW what kind of deal are you getting? Lets see if it is justifiable.

that answers my questions...if its possible to find a longtube for the same price as mac's its damn near impossible and odds are horriable fit. mac's it is.

well... heres a thought.

Bassani makes a true dual system. vinci performance sells it, but its rather costly at nearly a grand. however it is stainless steel. it can be adapted to work with some LT headers and would fit great and go all the way out the back.

I just installed Bassani headers and definitely feel an improvement in power.
