Default 96mm TB or larger?

Does anyone know where I can get a 96mm cable TB that will bolt up to a ls2 intake manifold? Its for a different intake but has the same bolt pattern as the ls2.

Not that I've seen. Usually if someone needs anything bigger they step to a Carb style intake with the TB on top.

Funny you should ask, I just took the first one out of the machine today. Hope to have them available for purchase through the forum vendors soon. There will also be some 100 and 105mm ones getting made hopefully by the end of the year.

What applications are we talking about here? Still able to fit on the FAST/LS2 manifolds, or intended for something else?

Why not? You can't over throttle body an EFI car (to a reasonable extent).

ya u can with stock heads and cam... alot of people complain about losing power with the fast 90/90 combo before h/c. Now after h/c then u find alot more potential with a bigger intake and tb.

You're not listening to me. With an intake too large, yes. But strictly TB size, no. You can't over throttle body an EFI car.

96mm seems reasonable otherwise it's kind of useless unless the 90mm intake manifold opening get larger

You right a lot of people do complain, but the thing I've noticed is none, not a single person I've seen comlain actually have the FAST 90 intake. Plus I've never seen any dyno's to back up this claim.

I'm not disputing it at all, I'm just saying I don't see the evidence to support the claims.

Is it the Professional Products intake?

They will have a 96mm out soon.

First one is going on a magnacharged GTO with the new mp122 tonight. The 96 and 100 mm will use the LS2 4 bolt pattern. The 105mm will have a different bolt pattern and is intended for the larger engines using a sheet metal or other custom intake.

yes the throttle body is for the professional products intake with the 96mm opening. Its going on a stroker motor so I think it wont be too large. I know they have one coming out here soon I was just wondering if there was anything coming out here soon so I can get the car running with that intake instead of waiting on it.

You're right, however, if you go with too big of a TB, your engine will be at max power well before the TB is fully open.
