unless u can get it to tuck up nice and look clean, i would implore u not to do it! Saw another V6 mustang today with a side exhaust and it was sagging so low and looked like ****! But hey, more power to ya if u can pull it off.

My buddy has side exit exhaust, i believe a magnaflow system, on his 96 Supercharged mustang. It looks great, and doesn't sag at all, and his is lowered 2 inches.

Have you tried searching on here? Seems like this topic comes up every 6 months or so, and everyone gets the same answer. You will have a hard time tucking it up high enough, and it'll look like *** unless you do some serious body work.

Your best bet with side exhaust would be a Boom tube type system. Although I dont think you will be legal for sound and emmissions!

I will ban whoever posts that shitty side exit H pipe looking thing. It is the biggest looking joke on this site as far as exhaust goes.

However....Boomtubes are bad ***!

I think a side exit can work ok if its well designed. Out the back is better IMO but for some of use its illegal to have exhaust dumping under the car, so exiting in front of the rear wheel is the next logical place to look.

Default Search is your friend!

Here are a couple threads from not to long ago that I did b/c I want to do the same setup after I drop my 383 in.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearance-detailing/413073-side-exhaust.html

https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearance-detailing/450111-side-exhaust.html

Good Luck! IMO it only really looks good if you have side shirts (aka bodykit, ground effects) and cut out around the exhaust but from my research I think I am either going 2 routes......... LT's, custom X with 12 inch bullets dumped or LT's, custom X with 12 inch bullets with either Dr. Gas 3 inch oval pipe or boom tubes one out each side. Not sure yet though. Hope this helps!

The reason why people can do it on mustangs is b/c its incorporated into their ground effects or w/e you want to call them, if you actually cut the plastic piece you could get it to fit ALOT better and not have it hang so low, also stangs dont have a Y pipe setup, they have true duels so it tucks up nicer, but id rather have GO then Looks or sound
