How hot??

What is the heat difference between uncoated and coated long tube headers?
How hot do they get?

Very hot either way. bad enough to burn instantly. Around 800° I would suppose on a coated header. and anywhere around 1000-1200° on uncoated.

I measured about 400-500°F on my Jet Hot coated LT's using the laser pointer thermometer gun from Sears (don't know how accurate this is on curved shiney surfaces).

Thanks, but i wouldl imagine it would get in the 800 range like orangepeel said when it is under load. but thanks
