weld exhaust components together?

weld exhaust components together? i'll be getting LTs and an ORY to go with my gmmg. it's going to be my permanent setup. is there any reason i shouldn't get everything welded together?
I highly recommend you don't get everything welded together.
Because you will take it apart sometime and then you're fawked.
Welding the pieces together while they are on the car will be a PITA.
And it will be difficult to weld all the way around the pipe, which means a leak is possible.
Why not just use band clamps? ... they're cheaper too.

I wouldn't weld @ the headers.
Maybe weld on some flanges so in the future you can adjust the headers if your doing something like heads.
Decent band clamps are also good enough I would think.

I wouldn't weld to the LT's. I would band clamp them there. But I would get the ORY fitted & then welded. Then you can use band clamps on the I pipe & off the collectors only. This can save you a little ground clearance & is easily removable.

im not sure if this was a rumor, but i have heard welding the parts together will also eliminate some of the rasp, especialy since you are going no cats. i would weld it, but thats just me.
