Default what exhaust should i run?

i just bought a st of Qtp headers. i dont know if i want to buy a y pipe or run a true duel setup. if i do run a true duel i will most likely dump them before the axel. i just need suggestions on what kinda set up to do if i go true duel and with not having cats will that be a problem when it comes time for emissions?

2.5 TD's with X-pipe, Flowmaster 1-chambers dumped before the axle.

The Bassani Tru dual system with high flow cats would be a great matchup for those headers. Just get a custom collector fabbed up to bolt on the Bassani and you're good to go.

My vote is for duals with borla xr-1's, heard them in person and they sound absolutely amazing, howver flomwaster single chambers are real nice too.

Duals all the way, but stay away from the Jeg's X-pipe--it's not a volumetric xpipe therefore the flow is gonna suck compared to a good xpipe like dr. gas.

Have one fabbed up then,

just make sure it's volumetric, and even a budget construction should work well.

The Dr. Gas is volumetric, the one from Jeg's isn't. I wish I had a picture, between the two you will notice larger piping for volumetric, whereas a non-volumetric shrinks down to the size of one single pipe (or close) at the "X", so it is a flow restriction, because it doens't have as much "volume", or cross-sectional area, as a volumetric one, which should be equivilent to two pipes worth of volume, ie, duals.

Do you have a aftermarket TA on the car? And if so..which one........and if not, are you planning on getting one.

I hear that most TD's are a pain in the *** as far as fitment with a lot of the the aftermarket TA's.

With that said....go to LS1sounds.com and listen to them........and hang out at local car gatherings if there is any so that you can hear some different setups.
