BTW; this is the same Donaldson technology as the Blackwing.
The AMSOIL EaA83 filter is an excellent alternative. It filters better than paper and flows almost as well as the poor filtering wet gauze.

Also, no cleaning kits or oil are required for cleaning.

They are basically the same thing from two different companies with slight differences in materials/design. You cannot run them together!

I tested my OE Blackwing against paper filters and
an open aftermarket lid, and the Blackwing was a
hair better for pressure drop. But that's an expensive
hair and really not worth any gains as far as I can
see. Talking fractional inches of H2O, very small
fractions. So I run Purolator paper ones which came
in second and cost a tenth as much. I kept the
Blackwing pristine on account of its huge impact to
resale value someday

You can go to the link below to order. Doing it this way sends all the proceeds from your order to LS1tech since the site is the AMSOIL dealer. Click on "See Pricing Information or Place an Order". You will want the EaA83.

http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/eaa.aspx?zo=1436102

HINT: Add the 6 month Preferred Customer membership to your cart as the discount provided with the membership is more than the cost of it. This will be at the upper left corner of the "Pricing Information or Place an Order" page. With the membership in your cart ALL products are now at dealer cost.

Question; if I'm already a preferred customer, can I order from the site's Amsoil store and still get the discount??

If you are already a Preferred Customer then use it. You will get any products available through AMSOIL at cost until it expires.

blackwing filter is still available at slponline.com it's part #25012B it's $60. I'd just buy the k&N though b/c not much of a price difference.

Which site??? If you are talking the AMSOIL site, it is the EaA83 for the F-Body air filter.

The standard oil filter will be the EaO32 with the oversize filter being the EaO64 for the LS1.

Always be sure to link directly from a link in my sig or one that was posted by me so LS1tech gets credit from AMSOIL.
