Gasoline smell out of exhaust
Replaced OEM exhaust with magnaflow catback last night and i've been getting a lot of gasoline smell coming through the exhaust. Any ideas why changing the catback would do this?
(everything under the car is stock other than catback).

it should fix itself over a few drive cycles. you should be set after ~100 miles of driving.
also, note that the magnaflow catback is stainless steel and stainless steel smells very bad the first few times its heated. you may be smelling the fumes from the heat treatment. it should go away in a short while.

letting the exhaust makes your AF ratio leaner, not richer. I would bet there is less baffling in the muffler which allows more un-combusted gasoline particles to leave the exhaust system.
I would drive it a little bit and let it learn a new fuel trim before dropping money on a tune.

catback, longtubes = richer
intake, ported throttle bdy = leaner
the exhaust work increases the flow from the exhaust valves of your cylinders which makes you run rich. conversely, intake work increases airflow to the intake valves of your cylinders, making you run leaner.
in short:
better exhaust flow = richer
better intake flow = leaner
