Ive done well over 300 header installs. I think i know what im doing. The steering linkage needs to come out. You dont have to grind the block off this way. The starter can stay in.

6 ton jack stands are your friend here.
Since my car was one of the revision cars for pacesetter I can assure you there are correct ones. Who do you think helped pacesetter with the drivers side header fix against the K member. Ask Fred from pacesetter. My buddie Chris who is a major distributor for them sent them all the revisions and I got one of the first revised headers made. Of course I grew up and cut those provisions off

I dont really care about the appearance of my engine bay because i dont show it off. I just keep it clean. I will be ordering my emissions style LT's tonight.

I have the emision style also, I had to loosely zip tie the plug wire back around the coil mount bracket to keep it from hitting the egr tube. Also, the egr will be close to the right position but, some minor bending will probably have to be done on your egr pipes, to get them to sit flush w/ the header. My kit came w/ the copper gaskets and they work just fine, no leaks.

Its not required. I think thats just makes more work for you. First just try to slide them in from the bottom without removing that extra crap. Like I said, mine slid right in, only took like 5 minutes to get both in from the bottom. It actually took us longer to get the gaskets & bolts back in & buttoned up than it did gettin them in from the bottom.
