Installed the LS6 Intake Sunday
. It sure cleans up the engine bay without all that EGR/Air crap which I threw in the dumpster yesterday. Tim said it was pretty dirty under the stock intake as you can see from the pics. If the weather stays nice this weekend like it's suppose to I'll clean off some of the other stuff that is now visible. I know it's not like most of the members here all nice and fancy but it's a DD and hard to keep it clean
Also he's going to disconnect the air pump which is making a loud whistling noise
. Its so loud you can hear it over the engine. At first I thought it was the serpentine belt which may have got coolant on it but we changed it and figured out its the air pump.

. I painted it myself a couple weekends ago when it was 70°....lucky to have that weather in November!
As far as the noise...it does it the whole time...high pitched whistling and its coming from where the airpump is. When he had the hood up last night I could barely stand the sound of it...so ear piercingly high!

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
My boyfriend installed headers on a friend's 98 TA a few weeks ago and removed EGR etc the same as mine and his car has been running ok but it should be tuned out like you said. Oh and TheBlurLS1....we didnt even think of that
I'll do that when I get home. Thanks
. That noise is still there though and I pulled the fuse for the airpump so not sure where it's coming from
If it's still doing it, than it's something else lol.

. Even with my stereo up this morning at mid-level I could hear it. Of course I have very sensitive hearing
