This should be in the General Camaro section, not in the LS1 Advanced Tech Section:

You could probaby swap out the muffler for a Magnaflow if you really wanted to, and then you would have a louder V6. I guess it all comes down to how much $ you want to spend to amplify the already poor sound of a V6.

a lot of guys stick a stock SS camaro muffler in there. it will outflow the V6 muffler and won't add much to the sound, which is ideal if you hate the V6 sound.
if you want to be loud, the flowmaster 80 series, while it flows poorly, is the only muffler i've heard make a 3.8L camaro sound decent. magnaflows on V6 camaros sound HORRIBLE. shoot, magnaflows on any V6 sound terrible. my buddy's V6 dakota with magnaflow exhaust was the WORST sounding truck in the world, and it was ungodly loud and resonated like something awful
i hear the best system out there for the V6 camaros is the borla, but that costs $$$, and i've never heard it in person on a V6.
i had the flowmaster 80 series catback on my 3.4L V6 firebird, and it sounded very good at idle and under 2500 rpm's. it only sounded nasty at 3,000 - 3,500 rpm's. the best exhaust you can put on that car, IMO, is the regular flowmaster 80 series catback and an electric cutout. the flowmaster is the only decent sounding muffler IMO, and the cutout is there when you need to run 'em.
good luck.

Flowmaster. My daily driver is a 95 camaro which is the 3.4 v6 and I put the Flowmaster American Thunder system for v6's on it. Its sounds good for a 6 cylinder. Like the above poster said it does get raspy at higher rpms but normal driving and idle sounds good. The rasp is the nature of the beast so no matter what exhaust you get thats going to happen. Alot of people that dont know much about camaros will mistake his car for a v8, until he trys to race somebody lol. It comes with 3" stainless tips so it looks cool too.

I was into Taurus SHOs a while back with their yahmaha v6s, and we were seeing 20+ hp increase by adding true duals, because the factory systems were so poor.
The same rules apply as v8s, make sure you're using a volumetric xpipe, and have the xpipe as close to the header collector as possible.
