should i go true duals?
well ive kind of had enough with my catted y pipe banging around on the bottom of my car, and i kinda want my exhaust to be louder..before i came up with this idea i was thinking about just getting a cut out and getting my exhaust fixed up. i was checking out the tsp td set up and the price is pretty reasonable, i was wondering which outa the three is the quietest ((if theres such thing)i know neither of them can be called "quiet") in your opinion. also, with getting this im deleting my back 2 02 sensors correct? and since i wont have cats ill kind have to cheat to pass emissions huh? i need this to be not super/crazy/psyho loud since this is my dd. my car right now has a 232/234 cam, 243 heads, 90/90 & LTs, tsp catted y & hooker c/b

Spiral Flows are of those 3, the quietest. I also think they are some of the best sounding... clip in sig. DONT BE CONFUSED with quietest meaning, oh it's gonna be a quiet setup. It most certainly is not that quiet. ANY *dumped* TD setup is on a Loud > Louder than Hell scale. Good luck.

Have read alot of people that get tired of the droning after a short time. Alot add pipe out the back of the car to eliminate the droning.
I setup my system with a cut-out and dynomax supoer turbo muffler(super quiet) so that I can have quiet when I want and loud when I want.
I would love to have true duals, but I would get tired of the noise real quick.
I would find a friend with a setup like what you want and take a ride for a little bit. I think exhaust gets changed more than anything else, atleast that has been my personal experience.

I have spiral flows and they are nice at idle and cruise, not too loud, but they do scream when you get on it. Overall though they are loud all the time, I am just used to it now. To tell you the truth the loudness gets old quick. And my friend has the TSP and it hangs way lower than mine. If mine were as low as his I would switch to a y-pipe setup.

If you can handle your ORY / Hooker catback and are currently able to call it tame or not loud enough with a loping cam, higher compression LS6 heads you will like the duals .
The spiral flows are the tamest but still roar WOT . Duals sound right and also look right on a musclecar . Ask any v8 mustang owner if they would rather have a single exhaust system ..bet that be a big f%^&*N No . My TSP system has never touched the ground , I plan on lowering at an reasonble drop . Dual 3'' can only be tucked so far up on these cars so their is some tradeoff in ground clearance. If you plan on slammin you car stick with what you have and get a cutout.

yeah i kinda like the sound of spiral flows and was leaning more towards them. i do like the sound of sweet thunders but IMO it sounds kinda deep. all 3 of them have their positives IMO. i dont dislike the sound of either. and i understand this car will be LOUD compared to my catted y/hooker c/b. i remember after i did my heads/intake i left the catted y open not connected to the c/b and the sound just made me feel so happy . i dont plan on dropping the car soon, as i have an non-adjustable panhard bar.. my last car was a LOW LOW 83 z28 and once i sat in the ss i just loved the stock ride height. but does the tsp td actually hang that low? it cant hang lower then my tsp catted y, which hangs rediculously low and loves to bang on the bottom of my car..

You're going to have to pay for good setups, there's no way around it. The Bassani system comes in just under a grand, which is more than twice that of the TSP system. But the Bassani 2.5" True Duals are leaps and bounds more refined. I would save your money for that. You're going to get sick of dumped duals quick. Plus the Bassani system is a whole bunch quieter.
