+1 for GMMG and lid. That's what I did in that order. GMMG even before a lid. GMMG worth every penny IMO. Agreed...help get more air in and then help it get out! We've got a numerous different brands of longtube headers in stock. How many miles are on the car? I would start with a few suspension mods.
Subframe connectors... maybe new bushings..... shocks..... lower control arms.... ect.
Getting together the parts for an effective suspension is just as much of an art as building a well matched engine combo. If your suspension is up to par, you'll be able to better maximize your engine mods. IMHO this is often an overlooked, yet necessary part of modding.

The single most important performance aspect is exhaust, a system. Save up for headers and True Duals, and you'll smile every time you hear your car rev. Imo these engines need to breathe for any mods you do later down the road. It just creates for you to work off of a great baseline.
