I've heard putting it in a pot of boiling water for 10 min will soften it up and make it a lot easier to put on.

Yeah, at first when its brand new from the store, the fernco is as stiff as a hard c*ck but when it you boil/treated w/ heat it gets soft, soft enough that it will flex/twist.

LOL Eric. naww it did not own.T me i jsut gave up on it. i guess i will boil it when i get my MTI lid... And Bo White is the one who actually hooked me up with the FERNCO. He trimmed it so that it has an upward angle the stock accordian bellow.....

Ohh and i too ordered my WS6 lowe air box, which i have had now for a week. I will be putting that on when i get my WS6 hood on and painted too bad that WS6 lower air box does not work with the stock Trans Am hood... it is jsut too tall.. BTW what a difference i put the 2 next to one another.. WOW

I used a dremel to port it out on both ends. Made it fit nicely. Unfortunately, it will also crack your lid. Just keep the stock bellows on.

Yours was put in a oven at 200 degrees for 15 minutes already on a bad TB I use for that. When you have to pull it off and back on start it on the bottom and put your thumb on the outside of it with your other 4 fingers on the inside of it and by using your fingers to work it all the way around back on. Once youve done as many as me it takes like 5 seconds lol.

Exactly.

TORCHD 02 TA: Did you not listen to what I said in the other thread? I had the STOCK bellow on my 10 second, cam only N/A daily driver. The Fernco will make your lid crack under load. Trust me, I have seen it happen to many of the local guys. I run the stock bellow on my full bolton Camaro as well.
