haha, this thread is hilarious. my buddy's older brother had an old truck that could do that. he would turn the key and pump the gas pedal. then he would start the truck and shoot a continuous stream of flames out his tailpipe for a second or two.

this one time, this, we'll call him a very ghetto little kid, was staring at him in a parking lot. he pumped his pedal and started the car and shot a two foot long flame out his tailpipe. the kid's jaw practically hit the ground. then he turned around and ran like he was being shot at. priceless

I don't think mine does. I've seen it quite a bit on turbo cars, with lots of boost.

My Triumph TR7 V8 used to spit flames out the back, not blue particulary just flames. This was with Works Rally spec Lt's and works Rally spec exhaust running stock cam and stock twin SU carbs on a Rover V8.

It would pop, bang and spit flames out the exhaust then down throtterling, either if you revved the engine hard while at standstill of downshifting at speed.

After the cam swap and 4brl Edlebrock it stopped doing this however.

Lots of 70's rally cars used to do this such as MK2 Escorts Lancia Stratos'.

Nice

I was told that my car shot a flame, just last month...it probably does it all the time. Cammed, lts, ory, magnaflow, my TSP mail order tune has the car running pretty rich, so I'm sure once I get it dyno tuned it won't do it anymore.

I had a 76 TA with a built 400 and straight headers that did it on decel. It was fast but a rusted to hel POS body wise. Me and my friend were cruisin about 130 and I let of the pedal and my friends behind us said it was shooting flames. So we were like cool and I kept hammering it and letting off to give them a show and next thing you know we smell something burning. The floor board in the back was rusted through and the flames had caught the carpet on fire. We pulled off at the next exit and smoke was pouring out of the back seat so we went in a gas station and got a fire extinguisher from the attendant to put it out.
