Default TPIS 90mm TB and Valve cover Breather line

I have the TPIS 90mm TB and while hooking it up I noticed it had no vacumn nipple for the breather hose coming off of the Passenger side vavle cover. Do people usually put a plug over the valve cover nipple?

If you don't have that line going from the TB to the valve cover, you may as well be running a catch can, because your PCV is no longer a POSITIVE crankcase vent.

Pictures of the TPIS unit?

On the Vettes, they plug the line into the air bridge in front of the throttle body. Don't block it off.

I still haven't figured out what I'm going to do about the valve cover breather since there is no provisions for a vacuum hose on the throttle body.

I do have a catch can but that is something separate for the PCV system.

Unfortunately I have bigger problems now. It seems that the TCS servo is acting up again and I'm only getting 20% pull from my throttle cable. Worse than I had with my stock TB (75% at the TPS). The cam on the TPIS is smaller, I'm going to see if I can swap cams over, but it would be nice to know what the real deal is with the TCS servo and Throttle cables in my car.

Damn this really puts a kink in my plans. Was planning for a tune on Friday. Just my luck I guess.

Don't know what to tell you other than to call TPIS tomorrow morning and maybe shoot them the pics so they'll know what you're talking about.

Ok thanks, I was planning on doing that as well. I just thought maybe some one has seen this problem with the Throttle Body before.

You can throw on a non-TCS throttle cable for a quick-fix if you've got a dyno appointment.

As for the PCV, as long as that line connects upstream of the throttle body blade, it will work the same. You can even attatch it to a small filter (it pulls air into the crank case, so you've got to filter the air into it). We normally refer to it as the "Fresh Air Tube".
