Default 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 headers

hey whats goin on everyone, im lookin into getting a set of hooker headers, and i wondering if its worth the extra money to get the 1 7/8 version? my buddy hsa the 1 3/4 setup with there y-pipe and the fitment is amazing. i just love how his headers tuck up so well, since my car is lowered thats what im looking for. so i was just wondering if its worth gettin the ones wit the bigger primaries or not. yes in the future i eventually plan on putting heads and cam on the car as well. thanks for the help guys.

I would just go with the standard 1 3/4" primaries. more room for fitment + clearance issues and less $$ too.
I think the 1 7/8" primaries are a little over kill unless going with a bigger cubed motor or a nasty setup.

Use the 1 3/4" as the 1 7/8" would work on well on something like a 427. Plus as stated fitment will be better.

1 3/4 will do just fine, with the 1 7/8 you will probably lose power down low on a 346ci motor compared to a 1 3/4. That is unless you have a nasty set up.

i say use 1 3/4 also.heck i've still got a set of 1 3/4 on a 408. a set of 1 3/4 will flow more air than alot of people think.

Go with the 1 3/4" lt and you'll be fine. If and when you decide to go larger keeps and actually need the 1 7/8's you can sell your small ones to recover some of your money. Since I've been on this site, I've seen it take no longer than 2-3 days to sell a set of Kooks and most sell within hours. JMO That's what I'm doing.
