i have jet hots, not much different than hookers, and they went in pretty good. which side are you talking about? i remember the passenger side slid in pretty easily, but the drivers side just needed some forcing in!

no you won't break anything. have someone help from up top, it made it a whole lot easier for me cause they can see more of how it may need to turn, move, etc.

you don't have to grind anything. that tab will barely hang on the #7 primary. just push. like i said about the friend, mine wiggled and i pushed went right in. ( sounds dirty doesn't it? )

Alot of people grind the tab off the block.

I personally, perfer unbolting the motor mount and jacking up the engine. This gives plenty of room the slide the driver side in.

i have jet hots and i think they are similiar. after i took the steering shaft off (from the column to the rack) it slid right in, i didn't have to grind anything. the passenger side had no problems.

it bolts to the pass head, unbolt it and pull and the whole stick will come out.

on the drivers side, you have to unbolt that little plate above the oil filter and remove the sp. plugs and steering shaft and it will/should slide right in. done 2 sets of them. yeah as for the dipstick there is just one 15mm bolt that goes next to all the mann. bolts and pull straight up. check to make sure the oring is ok (if there is an oring on the tube)it will go through the header back into the block.
