Default Help for winter decisions!!

Hey everyone. I'm new to this so I dont know where this post should go or really how to do this. Im a 17 year old in Ohio and have a 98 Camaro SS. I have about $1100 to play around with and was wondering what i should get for it. Its completely stock except for a loudmouth cat-back and a pro 5.0 shifter. Im looking for pretty good bang for the buck. I was thinking an slp cold air intake, plugs and wires, slp ls6 intake manifold and throttle body and maybe a mafs, but i dont want to throw alot of parts together when its not worth it. What do you think?

just get the SLP intake lid, their "cold air system" is not worth the extra money.

other than that it seems like you're on the right track. with those parts you mentioned it will be a very nice gain, and something you'll probably be pretty happy with

Yeah.. the LS6 intake would be a good choice to go along with your CAT Back and the SLP Lid.
Then get a good Tune.

forget the maf. lid and intake will be good. i would suggest long tube headers and ory but with the loud mouth it will be nasty sounding. sell the lm and get something else tds or whatever and get longtubes..then tune

You want to get rid of the loudmouth if you were to put any kind of headers, but I would go true duals. Save up for headers and true duals, like the Bassani True Dual kit ($960). Do headers and duals together. In the mean time you can get a SLP lid, ported stock tb (from one of our sponsers like New Era), and used ls6 intake manifold. That'll be about $500, and you can save up for duals with the rest.

I disagree with getting rid of the Loudmouth. A friend here has pacesetter LT's, Catted Ywith the loudmouth it sounds fine. I think the big difference is if you purchase an ORY or a catted Y.

If i had $1100 to spend i would purchase Lt's, catted y, Lid and LS6 Intake. And install it all yourself.
