Don't get a flowmaster. Best sounding depends on who is listenign to it. Some may like their own setup but others may think it's total crap.

Best performing can be proven but nobody has taken the time to dyno all the possible combinations that are out there. So go with a cheap cutout, have it welded in the i-pipe and if you like it keep it. If you don't there are many options, hooker, slp loudmouth, magnaflow, corsa, borla, gmmg, etc. The list can go on and on.

Exhaust opinions are subjective. I tend to like louder exhaust. I've tried a few on my car and have decided the only way to go is true duals w/1 chamber flows dumped. However, if I was to get a catback i'd go for Borla, since it's adjustable and I like the sound of it. As far as Flowmaster goes, I lose 22hp on the dyno thru the flowmaster vs an open cutout, so it definetly does not flow well. But it sounds pretty mean. I've also tried Magnaflow and Hooker and both were too quiet for me.

For performance, sound and the cost, you cant beat Magnaflow. I put down 336 hp on the dyno with just it and a lid. I think they changed the design of the Magnaflow muffler, because I bought mine 3 years ago and mine was loud as HELL. Some friends of mine bought one last year and their's are no where near loud as mine was. And they have LT's. I've since pulled it off now, but still have it.

id get the magnaflow. great quality, cheap price, sounds good with out LT's, and ory, but screams at WOT with LT's and ORY. if your affraid of rasp, get a catted Y pipe. you wont lose much horse power and you stay street legal(to sum degree).

if you just want a cat back and not planing on doing anything else to the exhaust, save sum money and get the GMMG. you wont be dissapointed.

flowmaster = clogmaster. Borla with ORy and LT's floated my boat and thats what I got and flows as good as a cutout.

ls1sounds.com knock yourself out. "BEST sound" is an opinion some people might not like the rasp from my borla but I love it

My Magnaflow was $370 shipped from a sponsor of this board...what a deal! Sounds good, stainless steel, and performs well. I couldn't beat it.

I had nothing but a Magnaflow on the 02z(at first). It was a little quiet for my taste, but good if you like the idea of a "sleeper". That **** screamed through LTs and an ORY though!
