Has anyone used this...easily?
Im not trying to make a million new threads or anything. I searched and couldnt find someting useful. So, my question is, has anyone ever used a universal x/h pipe kit from summit or jegs? How easy was it, like did you have to do any welding or cutting? Thanks

I know the xpipe kit fits the LT1 cars. and there adj. by changing the length of the pipes on the X part to adj. width to fit to your headers. I plan on putting one on my LT1 soon. havent seen this on the LScars though. possibly because TSP has there dual kit available, noones tried it.

The real problem with some of these universal kits is the xpipe is not volumetric. That means it doesn't have the cross-sectional area it is supposed to. A xpipe crossover should flow twice what a single pipe should, and some of the universal kits don't. If you can post a picture or a link you can tell by the pic.
Generally speaking the universal kits are ok, like the one from Dr.Gas is exceptional. Sometimes it might be cheaper to buy a universal kit, and then have your exhaust guy put it together on the car. Best to get a quote, and see what it will come out to both ways.
