Stock cat-back????
Im currently running pacesetter longtubes 3" ORY and a single one chamber flowmaster muffler, it is welded at stock location with a dumped, it was just right with stock manifolds. But with the new headers its really to loud. I was reading somewhere that the stock muffler ISN'T really all that restrictive. I really haven't found a good sounding cat-back so i was thinking of running my factory muffler, why you guys think????

actually... the SS and WS6 have the same mufflers... notice the same chrome tips?... and the same ex. tone?
the formulas and Z28s have the same muffler as well different tips, but same muffler and aren't as loud and throtty as the upgraded ss and ws6.
The stock muffler isn't all that restrictive, but is still a muffler. if you have an ss or ws6, i'd say don't waste your money until your car has been build up so much that now the muffler is a restriction. Not too mention the the stock chamber pipe (though never measured) looks the same as the 3inch pipe from my loud mouth.

I wouldn't waste your time with the stocker. With headers your system is much more free flowing, you don't want to choke it with the stock muffler. I would get a Magnaflow catback. In-expensive, sounds good, and stainless.

Well Magnaflow is one of the quietest, next to dual/dual there is nothing more quiet. If you think Magnaflow is too loud (are you sure?) then the only alternative is the stock catback. But be prepared to leave some hp on the table. It will NOT flow nearly as good.
Most find Magnaflow acceptable noise levels. I thought it was almost stock quiet at idle and low revs when I had just a Magnaflow catback.
But anything with Headers and ORY is going to be loud! That's just the nature of the beast...
