Default Any reason not to do bump stop mod?

Getting TB p&p. Seems like a good time to do bump stop mod. Any reason not too? New ERA Performance is doing p&p. Thanks in advance.

i think new era will do the bump stop for free, so let em do it. it cant hurt anything....well unless they grind down too much and throw a code but im pretty sure that wont happen, they have plenty of experience doing these.

The bump stop mod is where you grind down some of the metal on the TB to allow the blade to open to a true 90 degrees (fully open) as opposed to stock where you can see that the blade doesn't go full open at WOT. When you open the TB all the way there is a metal tab that contacts the housing of the TB at full throttle to prevent you from opening it any further. Simply grinding/sanding this spot down another couple millimeters allows it to open all the way.

this is assuming that there is still space between the pedal and the floor......
