i'm pretty sure all of the manufactureres would have used plastic cuss of the 40 pound difference to try and lightent up their cars if they could have gotten away with it. they had to be metal to heatsink the fuel going threw the runners to vaporize it. in cold winters fuel is harder to ignight, so you heat it up and get it to a tinier mist to light up, now flash forward to today....we have injectors taht pulse longer and atomize the fuel better for cold winters. theres no fuel that runs threw the intake runners... we dont need the metal ones, all they do for us is add extra weight, and dead weight is womp womp. fuel economy goes down slighty, and in todays world. we all want 600 hp cars and still want like 50 mpg, we try and lighten up the car any little bit.

man i hope i made sence, it's to early

Go with ls6. Other have yet to be proven to make more hp. ls6 is proven. That, and a ported tb and you are good to go.

heat soak is not an issue that is worth crying about. LS6 is all you need for any N/A stock cubed LS1.

I have the BBK intake with a S2 tb, and I love it. I noticed an gain in torque and power. Probobly not alot without a tune but still noticeable, and it sounds so much more alive under the hood now. Even with the stock tune, it responds with no hesitations.

If you won't do the FAST 90/90, get the ls6 and port the throttle body.

I voted the PP manifold, but get it ported and port matched.

Thought of something else, you could go with a ported LS2 intake, I think you have to change over the fuel rails with it, but you can put a 90mm tb on that too. Flows like a fast.
