Is your car high enough, also you may need to cut, grind the kmember or lift the motor.

ah, im not sure about kooks. pacesetters are easy. just keep toying with it, it really helps if u have a buddy grab from the top of the car while your trying to get it in from the bottom

The header has to go in straight up and down, with the collector pointed straight down. The car has to be up in the air quite a bit.

I had to cut my tab to get my Pacesetters in. You might try raising the motor just a hair, and see where that gets you.

I installed two sets of kooks but they were the 1 3/4 but like said above the colector has to be pointed straight down and angled slightly to the left and just have to keep trying it at different angles and it will fit. I did not have to cut anything or grind anything to get them to fit. If you cant get it take a break and relax then try again. Good luck

To get the 1-7/8" Kooks in, you have to unbolt the motor mounts and jack up the motor. I had to remove all the pedestal to K-member bolts out of the driver side, then back all the ones on the passenger side almost all the way out. I then jacked up the motor untill the manifold almost hit the cowl, then the header went in. Make sure you disconnect your air lid and make sure the manifold doesn't get too close.

I also removed my steering shaft, but try it with it still in first.

The passenger side needed serious grinding on the K-member before it sat right. Here's a pic of what I grinded, but it's a bit more than actually needed. I wanted to make DAMN sure it cleared lol. It will go in fine, but rest on the K-member after it's bolted in, which is why you need to grind.

The steering stem comes out with 2 bolts, very easy if you need to do it.

I did a pacesetter LT install about 6 months ago and the driver side took me 6 hours to get in. I got mad and just man handled it in there. I couldn't take it anymore. Push, bang and wiggle.
