damn, sorry to hear that. I ran over a huge rock once at night and had to get both my left side tires replaced because a large bubble formed in each of the sidewalls!

Depending on the dent in the header, it's probably not costing you any hp.

Yikes, that sux. I try not to run over anything, even if I think it's a bag, pile of leaves, etc if I can help it. ..But don't get me wrong, if I'm goin fast enough/don't see until last minute/etc, I'm not gonna try to swerve and risk wrecking my car because of something in the road. I know a guy who rolled his mustang and totalled it because he was swerving to avoid a small animal. I'm sorry, but I'll risk killing an animal and getting a broken/bloody bumper over totalling my car any day.

Once I hit a rock with my old 3/4 ton suburban. Well, rock is sort of an understatement. It was at the edge of a field buried about halfway... ended up being 3 1/2 feet in diameter. I uprooted that sucker and took off the bottom of my transfer case in the process. Hit it at about 40MPH. Loudest bang I think I have ever heard while in a vehicle.
