Default Typhoon... or just stick with the LS6

I have been looking at the PP Typhoon 96mm intake, and waiting for the 96mm TB which isn't out yet. I've also been looking at an LS6 intake and just keeping my ported stocker. The PP with new TB will end up costing about $300 more which could be used for a number of other mods. Would I really see THAT big of a gain in going with the PP over the LS6, or should I just stick with what we all know works... the LS6?

A cam and heads is also in my future so keep this in mind as well. Thanks!

The Fast 90/90 leaves a little on the table with a stock heads motor.

The 96 is probably overkill.

They also have an 85mm availible. Would I still be better off with the LS6? There will be heads and cam in the future...

professional products is who sells the intake. check out their website. A few of the sponsors carry it also. It's suppose to be very equal to the LS6 below 6,000RPM and then walk away to the tune of about 17hp after 6000 up to about 7200. So, if you're looking for a higher RPM application it's definately an option. They also offer an 85mm and 96mm version. Check it out.

5_02ls1- Yeah that's on my stock stall. That time is on street tires too. I bought a set of MT ET street radials after that run and went back and lost about .4 tenths... too much traction now. Go figure. So I need to get a stall now. I'm thinking Yank SS4000 should do the trick, along with this new intake and a tune and I should be close to high 11's.
