Default Turndowns or out the Back???

Hey guys not for sure what I should do. My cam is on a 111 LSA, I am going to run true duals. I want to get the meanest sound I can get. I thought about running turndowns right in fron of the axles? Or should I run it all the way out? And opinion on Mufflers too..

Joey

If you can handle the noise, dump them before the axle. I like 1-chamber Flowmasters personally.

With that cam turndowns are going to be loud! Obnoxious loud imo. Out the back will be more refined sounding, but with bullets its still going to be loud! Might want to think about a single dual-in dual-out muffler, like the Bassani setup. Since it's only one muffler, it doesnt quell the sound THAT much, but since it is a full size muffler, it's not going to be as loud as bullets.

FYI: Just cause your cam is on a 111 lobe cut, doesnt mean it is gonna be a lopey sound.

That sound comes more from the duration than the lobe separation angle.

i run a TR230/224, LT's, TSP duals with bullets, and turn downs. I love the way it sounds, it is pretty loud, but not too loud(for me anyway). After messing around with my exhaust alot, i think i like the way it is now the best. No more rasp!!!!! My first set-up was mac mids and borla, then pacesetter Lt's, ory, and borla, and now its what i listed before, and its going to stay that way.

No it's going on a LS2. I converted a few years ago to a LS1 and then just sold it recently to a guy on here. I wanted just a little more ci.
