Forgot to add...have fun with the install. Hardest install I've done yet...do yourself a favor and drop the headers.

You'll spend more time doing the mounts with the headers in, than you would by pulling out the whole exhaust system and reinstalling it.

You need motor mounts, not a trans mount. Poly mounts would keep the motor from twisting over so far, and a small amount of clearance between the pipe and floor will be all you need. Mine's about 1/4" away, and has NEVER hit.

Beating the hell out of your exhaust system is another way to fix it.

i had solid. Then i got a BMR kmember and was forced to go poly since that's the only way you can do it with the kmember (without fabrication/motor plates/other stuff). I would go back to solid if i could, but there is not TOO much of a difference.

but i would think solid motor mounts would be a bad choice seeing as i don't have SFC's. do you think it would be ok?

It would be fine. Poly motor mounts would do you just fine as well.

The unibody flexing won't have anything to do with the motor mounts bolted to the K-member. I think you need to get some SFC's regardless, I could really feel a difference when mine went on.

I ordered prothane motor mounts and for $10 more, I got a prothane tranny mount. What are your opinions on the tranny mounts, should I put it in or not?

Put it on, only takes 5 minutes, but don't throw your stocker away.

Some people can handle it, some people don't care, and some people can't stand it.

I don't know if they would clear the T/D's.

I voted poly/poly because it's what I have.

It went from wheel hop to smooth as butter. Well, the launch is smooth as butter but I kinda shake in my seat. Chicks dig the vibrator seats!

I have solid motor mounts, and a 1LE trans mount. I had the prothane trans mount, and it was rediculous inside the car. I am going to use the 1LE till it breaks, then re-install the poly. With the solids, it's not too bad, but you can feel it.

I'm pretty sure most of mine is clutch chatter.

I had way too much vibration with a poly tranny mount so I switched back to stock on the tranny. Poly engine mounts are great - no noticeable vibration and much firmer engine mount (no longer banging the Y-pipe).

Poly motor mounts are so firm that I don't see any reason to use solid.

I'm trying to rattle my teeth out, that's why I went with solids over poly's.

I have poly motor mounts (what ever Thunder sells) and a stock trans mount. It's fine.
