I used the Prothane mounts on my car, They made a very noticable difference in cars firmness and eliminated the exhaust from banging on the floor. The road noise will be greater but the car will feel much tighter than stock....
I give these a poly/poly A+

I haven't voted, but my friend and I are putting his 98 Z28 back together today. We're installing LTs, ORY, & Maganaflow Catback. We put the LT's on and then realized we needed to do the Motor Mounts at the same time. We attempted the job without removing the headers. We ended up twisting off a bolt while installing Prothane Polys and were forced to uninstall the drivers header. That turned out to be a good thing. It allowed us plenty of room to reinstall. I definitely recommend at least removing the drivers header, if not both, when doing Motor Mounts. For now we're sticking with the Stock Tranny Mount. I guess if he experiences shifter movement we'll do a poly in the future. Once we finish his, its my turn. Should go smooth after learning from his. =-) I'll be sure to vote after the first "seat-of-your-pants" feel.

I went Prothane poly/poly and am very happy with it. My old mounts were so bad that they fell out of their shells. Have had them in for a month and just completed my suspension a week ago and it all works well together. I actually think the whole car feels more solid AND smoother. I noticed a little more vibration through the chassis at idle, but it's nothing compared to my old '68 that rocked the car around during idle (it had ES poly mounts in it).

You get 9/10's of the stiffness of solid mounts without the vibrations and harshness.

however, if your lucky, if the shop you bring them too does all the work by labor hours in the book,

to swap motor mounts with stock manifolds its already a bitch. with long tubes, its impossible; just take a look from underneath; you need to remove the long tubes to swap them pretty much

I went poly/poly. Summit has a package deal. They went in a at the same time as my heads and cam so i cant tell you a before heads/cam after heads /cam difference but i could tell the difference at first. Just feels more solid and u feel more motor vibration but i dont notice anymore. A must though to keep the exhaust from banging the floorboard.
