Default LM or gmmg can't decide+ Update pg 3 headers and LM2 installed

well my car has a crapmaster on there right now its too quite

so i ordered some LT's and off road y pipe (no cats) no more and really like some of the clips i heard of the gmmg they were pretty damn loud which is what i want.

but then i read that the gmmg isn't really that loud

i was gonna make my own gmmg setup to save $$$

but i have a loudmouth 2 muffler laying around

hmm not sure opinions?

i think i'll be happy with the gmmg tho and LT's

if your ganna be running lt's and ORY deffanitly go with the GMMG....if you had the slp on it would be wayy to raspyyy! gmmg mite even have a little rasp but most cat back systems with ORY do....other wise go td's and youll fall inlove

For sure the GMMG over the loudmouth with LT's and ORY. If you don't mind spending the extra money for the GMMG. Loudmouth is fine on stock setup, but I'm wish I would have done some research before I got mine and then got LT's with ORY a few months later.

I have LM w/ ORY, and think its obnoxious. So obnoxious I dont even want to beat the **** out of it anymore. Allways afraid the cop 2 miles down the road will hear me coming and be ready for me. I would give my left nut to have this thing quieter. If you live in an area where you can get away with it, I say go for it. If not do yourself a favor and get something milder if going with an ORY. Just my 0.02.

yeah but the lm is basically just a hollow tube thats bigger on the inside i don't see the point of haven one vs just straight pipeing it or does that somehow muffle the sound a tad haha

a local guy is selling me some hedman hedars cheap but i'm not sure what brand the Y is

but if gmmg is gonna be real loud and sound good i'll prolly go that way

what are td's?

GMMG is NOT really loud... Not by my or most real hotrodders definitions at least. Maybe by some grandmothers...

GMMG is the old man's exhaust... Expensive, relatively effective, and "loud enough for me" says the old man

I would say loud mouth if you want loud, Magnaflow muffler if you want FLOW and good sound.

Or just get a 4" Mufflex with a Spintech dual 3" out like me and it will sound like an old school big block once you get a cam !

Go with the LM2. Everyone on here always seem to forget about this one. It is quieter then the LM1 but not soft like the GMMG.

Ok i don't know what GMMG you've heard but with an ORY its raspy just like LM. I say get the LM and put the money saved towards other mods! In your case an LS6 intake(if you dont have one yet)

I recommend the GMMG. I have a sound clip in my sig, and if you search GMMG, you'll find some more of my clips. Where around Detroit are you from?

gmmg FTW, had the LM and heard the gmmg in person. the gmmg has more of a tone to it. Sounds really refined with cats if you ever decide to go that route, and summit, your car sound sicckk

What is there to decide? One is loud, one is defined....I would say GMMG any day of the week of the loudmouth.

But that is just me.

they're both going to be very raspy with an ORY, even the GMMG. it won't sound much different than a loudmouth - just noise and rasp. IMO, you should cancel the ORY and get true duals. that's the only way to go if you're gonna run catless IMO.

but i suppose if you HAD to, i'd go GMMG, but it's like deciding if you'd rather be shot in the leg or the foot. it's not about what sounds better, but what doesn't sound as bad.
