Default LS6 swap questions

Alright so i bit the bullet and bought a used ls6 intake yesterday. What are the typical problems or issues that get run into while doing the swap? I've heard some people break the oil sending unit if there not careful. How is this avoided specifically? Also, I've heard that there are ribs on the bottom of the intake that sometimes get removed in order to make room for the coolant lines or something along those lines. Is this step neccesary?

I have a ported stock TB and was wondering if there is anything that could be cleaned up easily on the new intake while i had it off. Like radiusing the intake etc.

The user i bought from said it included all gaskets and a map sensor. Is there anything else that is needed?

I've reviewed the ls1howto.com on how to do the swap and so far these are the only things im still unclear on.

I also tried the search feature but it wasn't working.

thanks to all who respond!

dont break the oil pressure sending unit. the installs easy if youre careful

as for the ribs, they will need to be removed if you dont plan on using the LS6 coolant lines. I didn't use the ls6 lines so we cut all the rubs off with a dremel

You will have to notch the bottom tibs of the intake with a dremel in order to get it to clear the stock metal coolant lines that run beneath the intake. Other than that it should be a direct bolt on.

where is the oil pressure sending unit? If i follow these instructions http://www.ls1howto.com/index.php?article=5

will i still need to remove the ribs?
is there a way to install without buying the lines that are listed as required in the above mentioned directions?

you dont need the lines jsut cut all the ribs on the bottom off. the oil pressure sending unit is the thing in the back, jsut watch your brake booster hose and dont ****** on it and you'll be fine
