Headers Headers Headers!

hey guys im doing circles right now trying to figure out which headers i want. i definately want long tubes but cant decide which ones. the ones im kinda lookin at are the slp ones and the qtp ones, but give me some opinions please! thanks!

Pacesetter all the way. Save your money without sacrificing whats important. They fit great and perform with the best of them.

thats what i was thinkin too but slp claims 41HP gain and over 50torque! thats a lot!

Do some searching dude. SLPs hang down LOW as ****. If you are lowered, forget about them. You'll scrape them over everything. I recommend Kooks if you are staying with a Y-pipe setup and if you are going true duals, get QTPs.

This is something I wouldn't even think twice about; if you want the best quality made LT's with the largest HP gain, go with Kooks. If you don't want to spend that much, I would go with Hookers.

I'm going with Kooks this year.

I tried to do Long tubes (QTP) last year and they were back logged. I'm glad I cancelled them since they were having serious fitment issue.

BTW did QTP ever work that out? Did they replace everyones Driver's side headers for free? What about labor, did they pick that up too?

According to Texas Speed, they've not seen any one header outperform the others performance wise.

I was thinking Kooks or QTPs until I saw the Kooks installed. Based on fitment and quality, my mind was instantly made up. As for SLPs, do your research and you'll be hard pressed to find someone who didn't complain about clearance, even on stock ride height cars.

But bang for the buck, Pacesetters for the win. It's what I've got on my ride.

SLP has excellent marketing but their products are average and surpassed by many others that provide better quality, fitment and customer service. They can claim all the hp gains they want to but reality is that most of their claims are marketing bullshit.

If you just have to spend more than you actually need to, buy some Kooks or QTP's. Both are excellent products and while I would strongly consider them, the same end result is found in a nice set of Pacesetters. They've worked very well for several years for me and many others out there.

Coated mild-steel headers may hold up well, but they aren't stainless. If stainless isn't a priority for you, that's cool, but when you say that it's the "same end result", I respectfully beg to differ. You get what you pay for.

I got QTPs from a local seller for $325!! BRAND NEW! I started the install and came to a snag in the drivers side header. Figured if the drivers side would be this hard, the pass side mist be harder so i gave it to a shop to do! $600 later, and all my friend's respect for not being able to do it, I have LTs, wouldn't mind getting my $600 back at least.

Any more info. on this would be great.
