Is it common after ls6 intake install............

After installing an ls6 intake, is it common for the pcm to have to adjust and find an idle?

I didn't have this problem, how bad is it searching? Could be a vacuum leak somewhere or it could be the computer just relearning itself.

it isnt uncommon but you may wanna go back voer all your bolts and make sure all the hoses are on good

didnt have any issues with mine, make sure your hoses are connected and did you put the brake booster hose back on tight????

when i installed mine i had a small problem, but it was because of slack in the TB cable. So i had to mess with that a little to get the idle back to normal.

Just did mine last weekend.Idled like it had a cam,then died.Started again and as I pulled out of the garage....hit the brake and it was rock hard!LOL,forgot to hook up brake boostervacuum line.If it idles bad,must be a vacuum leak.

sounds like a vaccum leak.did you use new orings?

well i ruled a vacume leak out because the weird idle is only there when my foot is on the brake in drive. The car drives great. After driving it a while the weird idle isnt so much anymore. I really think its the pcm learning because at first i would put it in drive with my foot on the brake and it would surge up to 1500 then go down to maybee 500-400. It would do that a few times and then it would find an idle at like 700-800 and would be fine. So I think the idle problem i was having may be over.But i'm having other issues after this install which I beleive are related but not sure.

checked everywhere for leaks more that a few times,did blockoffs,tightened and retightened all bolts down to specs,reconected all wire harnesses and hoses,pushed down all injectors,used all new port gaskets, i did it all. If this was a vacume leak wouldnt i have this problem while idleing in park?

problem solved. these problems i was having was ALL because i rewired my map sensor wire harness wrong after i ripped it out on accident trying to take the intake out the 3rd ******* time It is confirmed, a messed up map sensor wire will set off a tps code.
