save your money for something else. Not worth it in my opinion. You may recieve more HP on the dyno, but its sheet metal design will have heat soak. I would love to see a dyno with this intake cold and also when it is hot to see the difference.

It's not sheet metal, it's aluminum. And heat soak is not as bad as it's made out to be. Cars have had aluminum intakes for years. The Typhoon is a good deal for the money.

I thought it was sheet metal, sorry for that one, and that was what I was basing my opinion on. I would like to see some actual dyno numbers comparing the ls6, FAST 78 and 90, and this intake. It is not all about peak HP as this intake may work pretty well for people on stock cubes. I would like to see the numbers under the curve.

from what i've read, It doesn't seem like it would be worth the headaches you go through installing it and you should save your money and just get the fast 90/90. I haven't seen dyno numbers yet but unless it puts up some insane numbers i don't think it's worth the trouble.

Oh my god.... all you people that immediately throw out the "heatsoak" issue are idiots. Show some proof of lost horespower due to heatsoak will you already? The intake charge spends about a half second moving through the intake manifold and even if it were 50 degrees hotter than a plastic intake (which can get very hot too) you might lose about 3 hp at the rear wheels.

There are several threads out there about the Professional Products intake. I chimed in on most because I'm thinking about getting one. It seems to be a quality piece with proven results. Some fitment issues existed earlier, but the company has resolved them to most customer's satisfaction. Search search search.

Aside from performance, I think they look stunning.

Forget the head to head Typhoon tests. Compare the hot Typhoon to a hot LS6 intake. I bet the Typhoon makes more power. And less money than FAST.

Didn't the first guy to install one on here lose some HP over the LS6 intake?

Then I think he added the Typhoon TB and made more HP than the LS6 intake. So more than likely the LS6 intake and a ported stock TB would make more power. But the typhoons sure do look amazing.
