Energy Suspension Trans-mount experience

I had installed an Energy Suspension trans mount and just wanted to share my experience. My stock piece was totally shot and every time I hit the gas kind of hard my trans would hit the floor board. Anyways after I installed the new mount it solved the banging problem but I was getting a bad vibration at idle and in 3rd gear. I had INCLUDED the PLATE that comes with the kit.

solution

I took it back out and installed it without the plate that comes with the kit and now I have considerably less vibration but still a hint of it in 3rd gear accleration and decleration. It doesn't bother me much now with the plate out and there's no banging from the transmission on the tunnel. Hope this helps someone else with the same problem. It cost me 50$ and was about 30 minutes to install.

Yeah the trick is not to use the plate. Congrats on the mount. I like the way the car feels with it in as well.

You can also grind the little humps off of the mount. They compress when you're installing it and preload the mount. Grinding those humps off is supossed to cut down on the vibrations.
