Default Did I install my TB right??

I installed a BBK 80mm throttle body last week. I was lookin at it today. The throttle cable seems kind of loose. When I pull on it, i get about 1-2 inches of cable, which doesnt seem right. also sometimes when im drivin it feels like the gas pedal is stuck(I have an auto). How tight should the cable be?? I can take the cable off without even pulling back on the throttle body which doesnt seem right to me?? anybody got any ideas.

Its been a while for me but on my 98 Z28 I could only pull the cable off if I pulled the black plate back which opens the throttle blade. So my opinion is no unless things have changed over the years. It sounds like you have to much slack.

There is a small black box like thingey about 16" from the TB cam, it is a mechanism that will allow you to adjust the tension of the cable on the cam
You release the clip, adjust one way or another and lock the clip back in place.
That's the best I can describe it, and if you go mess with it you will figure it out instantly.

What is this? Is this only on the 01 and 02's? I have a 98 and it doesn't have this. I have two cables. One cable running from the tb back through the firewall and the other one starts right next to the tb and I don't know where it runs to.

No worry man, U were actually right. I looked at it today and worked perfectly. It tightened the cable exactly what I wanted and it took like practically a minute to do. Its a night and day difference. Thanks a bunch!!

How do you adjust the throttle tension on non tcs cars? I just got a summit tb and it has a spacer as well thinking the cable might get too tight.
