Default Found a cure .....maybe

I was looking at rksports website and came across an item for the tranny called the interceptor. This device is used to keep line pressure high or low all the time I beleive and well sense our trannys like to have lower line pressure with ported ends well maybe this is what we have been waiting for to keep our trannys alive.Any thoughts about it?

I would think there are 2 concerns with this device as this can be done with either custom PCM programming from a programmer or with the LS1 Edit. 1-cost and 2-reliability. If it's new it has no reliability history and with the lS1 Edit all over the place now anybody can do it. Just my $.02

You don’t want high line pressure all the time. That’s how the B&M shiftplus and HPP3 have been messing up trannys.

All of the custom trannies (FLP,Speed Inc., Yank) are now coming with the vacuum modulator kits or have them as an option to have the line pressure adjusted by the amount of vacuum created.

I tried it about a year ago. It does the same as an HPP3 in that it electroniclly increases shift pressure. its a plug in device and you dial in the extra firmness you want. You can dial in too much and blow up your tranny.

I would use a transgo kit instead.
