i had a friend call hooker and they said that it was all tooled up and ready to go, but then it had severe fitment problems and had to retool. as for when it will be available, your guess is good as the next.

(Of course that is an LT1 pictured, though...the angled header exit on the driver's side on the LS1 is going to create an additional bend...)

Re: Hooker Y-pipe!!!!!!!! but now on the site is says april 15th. i'm gonna take the mac y-pipe a friend has for the stock manifolds and weld up some new pipes to make it work for now. i'll see how good it looks and how well it performs and then i'll debate whether buying a new one.

Re: Hooker Y-pipe!!!!!!!! I don't think it has anything to do with being a cheap bastard. Go look at the price of the headers for any other car (other than the Vette and Viper). Mustang headers are like $250-$300. The cheapest headers for out cars are the Hookers, which are like $600 coated. I don't want to spend the $285 on the mufflex piece and than have to go out and spend another $200 on the carsound cats. I mine as well go buy the FLP complete package and have less hassle.

"The y-pipe should be avail the first week in April. thanks, Chris"
I called Summit today and got in line (they committed not to charge my card until it ships). I can't see paying Mufflex $285 plus ship, or Thunder $350 plus ship (for parts).
Time will tell if I made the wrong decision.

I've emailed them 3 times, each time explaining to them I didn't feel comfortable ordering a complete hooker exhaust and not knowing when I would get it.
