I voted for Magnaflow

why? Because the SLP LM is just as loud as duals and he said he doesn't want duals for the cause of being too loud. The GMMG carries a hefty price tag so I think the Magnaflow will be more cost effective since it flows very well, close to the GMMG i'm sure. Magnaflow is very affordable and works well on the traditional Y-pipe design and with Longtubes. Deep tone at low rpms, very loud at wot, it has a very unique sound characterized by the muffler. The tips look very nice on Camaros. There's my reasons. Hope you find what your lookin for!

what are your future plans besides the headers? I'm actually with you, but I already got a magnaflow. My initial research pointed that is was the most flexible with future mods, but now I'm starting to get a little feedback that it might be a little raspy with an ORY? I swear, a month ago, there were NO POSTINGS that said that. I thought I was taking my time too, but whatev. I'm going to live with it now by changing my plans a bit, or wasting another $300+ which i really don't want to do.

So just to make sure, heads are you only mod? I'm sure you want to keep your options open somewhat? Anybody from here on out care to chime in but with experience with his headers specifically in mind? (this is probably where ls1sounds come in handy, but they don't have everything) I'll be listening too!

Corsa Catback with 4 x polished 3.5" tips.

I liked the look of it and liked the sound. Not really compared it with other cars, but have had many comments on how good it sounds. Thats before and after LT's.

anything within the intake exhaust in general I would think. I'm not the complete expert, but I know that some things will change the sound, just as headers will change the sound (as its not just the cat-back).

I would assume anything within the intake system and the heads? Maybe a more experienced person could chime in with the comprehensive list. But thats is an in depth explanation, so I wouldn't count on it. Maybe ask a local shop or trusted ls1 performance shop (like the sponsors?)

magnaflow is quiet as ***** and the tips are way too long for my liking. I voted gmmg even though I love my loudmouth (both of which are way too loud without cats).

I'm a big fan of the SLP Dual Dual, they're mellow, flow well and sound great with long tubes. Stainless too.

I would go with a gmmg on my Z28 if given the chance. Right now it is packed with a 4" monster.

dude check this out...go to http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/item...d=195&catid=46 ..its the texas speed 3 inch rumbler system....its nothing short of bad ***....very cheap and you can get it without tips so you can choose a set of tips from anywhere you want and still have a cheaper catback then pretty much anywhere else....to sum it up for you ...it sounds alot like a mustang with flowmaster mufflers.....very old school musclecar sound to it....i have it and think its one of the best buys i have made for my car

I had LM2 on my 2000 SS and it was mellow. It was a DD. Nice, deep, low rumble at idle, not near loud enough at cruise, but sounded awesome at WOT

I voted GMMG cause it is my fav. sounding exhaust, but for a DD, LM2 was as near perfect as I've ever found.

alright man between gmmg and magnaflow.
Differences between them is that the gmmg is a chambered tube setup so its got a really raw sound to it, less muffling going on. Its louder than a magnaflow definetly and many people remark that its sounds like an old truck with LTs on it. The point of the gmmg is to give it more of an older muscle car sound with the design.

Magnaflow is stainless which is a plus. the design is a straight through muffler so it doesn't hold back performance just as the gmmg. Magnaflow is a raspy catback on lts/ory. Its quiet at idle, very muffled sound. Low rpm cruise is deep very nice tone interior resonance is minimal. Rasps between 2k and 3k on ory/lts. This is all from experience.

Your choice will be about a 3-400 dollar difference.

I am getting rid of my duals because I did not gain any power and they are to loud!
This is my set up
3" TD h-pipe with 12 bullets (used to have 1chambers) under axle out the back
I am getting Magnaflow catback flows great, sounds good and isnt 800 bucks

I might have liked the current set up if I was 17
so I voted for Magnaflow
