honestly man here's my suggestion. I've been thinking about this for a while. Trust me I'm all for loud, but when its on your DD some people just aren't always in the mood for a Loumouth setup 24/7, know what I mean? You seem to be interested in the quality of the magnaflow as its a great choice for a DD car, but you also like the loudness a GMMG can bring to the street. So, why don't you buy the 400$ Magnaflow catback, and then a QTP electric cutout and open that baby up for when your magnaflow is not feeding your flame quick enough? That's what I would do, and personally its what I'm going to do because sometimes I just want to sound like hell coming down the road and the Magnaflowie just isn't that kind of monster.
i really hope this helps you man.

Sound wise i was happy with the magnaflow but didn't like the tips. I would go GMMG if you have the loot

Well I would say hooker, probably the best bang for the buck when it comes to catbacks.

I voted Magnaflow as it is SS, flows very well, and will give you room to grow with the mods- H/C will sound great. Also the magnaflow tips look good on a Camaro, but not on a T/A.

yeah im definatly gunna get a cut-out but think im not sure really which to get im kinda stuck in the middle

to me slp is way to loud for a DD after hearing it in person

Thanks staringback05 didnt see that before....after looking at the gmmg reviews i am leaning more towards gmmg

I had looked at the hookers efore but never really gave it much thought, might have to look into it

i have nothing against borla just not a big fan of the sound

Magnaflow, less money than the GMMG, sounds good. Doesnt really drone and, well, with the new tips, looks pretty bad-***.

I voted for magnaflow. Its loud at wide open throttle but is quite enough to not drive you nuts under daily driving. Also its price is a lot better than gmmg. If you plan on long tubes it wioll sound really good and if you end up doing cam or cam and heads it will get a lot louder but still not be too much

I think the cutout and magnaflow is perfect for your application

Anyone ever heard of the Bassani X True Dual Catback? I haven't seen that mentioned once in here.

But since its just between Magnaflow and GMMG, i'd go with GMMG if you've got the money. Has a more muscular sound to it.

I've heard a magnaflow with pacesetters that was beyond raspy. I couldn't believe it cause after reading all the post on here about how it sounds so good I made my decision on buying the lm2. The one time I was glad I didn't believe the hype. Its all up to personal taste but don't believe that lm2 sounds like *** good it sounds really good!

For LS1's only:

I firmly believe anyone who recommends a loudmouth or loudmouth 2 either doesn't ever have to drive their car for any long trips or care to carry on any conversations with the car running.

It amazes me how many recommendations those systems get.

Corsa's the best range of loud when you want it and quiet when you don't.

Just my .02.

i bought the LM2 before the headers and after the headers the car sounds like a popcorn machine on steroids. i switch to the hooker and i dont have any beef with that but the gmmg seems like a sweet setup.

Mine just so happens to be a dd and have taken it on a few long trips. Stop acting like a bunch of grandma's cause its not that damn loud. Never had a problem carrying a conversation or it sounding like a popcorn machine.

I just put the Magnaflow catback on with LT's and ORY and it has NO rasp what so ever! I was really suprize, and I am talking at all part throttle postions and under WOT. it is quiet compared to my duals but I love it. with the cam I have it really sounds old school. I wonder if the muffler breaks in or I just got a really good one
