I wonder if the muffler breaks in or I just got a really good one

Well, your car must be one in a million then because I have heard quite a few ls1's with magnaflow and ory and longtubes and there definitely is rrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssssssspppppppp. Between 2000 - 2700 rpm's is where it is most pronounced. I am on my fifth exhaust now and I have the slp dual-dual with an ory and a cutout and qtp longtubes. This is the best exhaust setup if you ask me.

Now, don't get me wrong, with the magnaflow the rasp isn't as bad as a loudmouth catback but it is definitely still present.

Yup, it sounds good except for the rasp when you let off even with the cutout closed.

Get a Corsa, no drone on the highway, loud when you need it to be at different levels, tame at cruising. This is with pacesetter LT's and no cats.

Get longtubes with ORY and loudmouth like me and you will be completely deaf before you turn 30.

Magnaflow here.

LTs, Catted-y, and Magaflow. Sounds great and looks great on a Camaro.

I'd spend a lot more time stressing over which Y pipe you pick.

Also I think it's worth noting that as soon as I get the chance I'll probably switch over to a Bassani true X system.

why? Because the SLP LM is just as loud as duals and he said he doesn't want duals for the cause of being too loud. The GMMG carries a hefty price tag so I think the Magnaflow will be more cost effective since it flows very well, close to the GMMG i'm sure. Magnaflow is very affordable and works well on the traditional Y-pipe design and with Longtubes. Deep tone at low rpms, very loud at wot, it has a very unique sound characterized by the muffler. The tips look very nice on Camaros. There's my reasons. Hope you find what your lookin for!
I agree 100%. I had the magnaflow on my 432whp Z28, and East Side Performance (sponsor) highly recommends it. Its the best bang for the buck exhaust out there.

On my SS, I'm going Corsa, only because of the tip design.
