Default need exhaust more quiet!

right now im runnin LT's w/ and ORY merged to a 4inch dynomax bullet turned down before the axle. this is waaay to loud cruising on the hwy and tryin to talk with people in the car, plus it rattles everything to death. at WOT it sounds wicked and i love it, but just hate the cruising noise right now. im about to put a cam in it in a few weeks so itll only get louder.

im tryin to figure the cheapest way to do this.....so cats and cutouts are out of the question. i was thinkin maybe leaving it how it is, and reducing it back to 3 inch, running it over the axle and placing ANOTHER bullet right before i turn it down behind the axle. how much would this quiet the car down at cruising speeds? i fiure itll still be earsplitting at WOT. the labor would be free since my dad has an exhaust shop.

lets ehar your comments/suggestions on this please.

or you can do it right and put in a quiet catback like the SLP dual/dual. TheBlur is running a big cam and reports no power loss through that catback and its pretty dam quiet... but it may be too quiet for what you're looking for.

Just extending the exhaust out the back of the car & not dumped will decrease the cabin volume tremendously.

What about reducing from your current bullet to 3inch , bring it up and over the axle to a hooker aerochamber muffler single inlet/ Single outlet into a turn down.(Stock location) The hooker will about 89 bucks and the rest is all fabrication some pipes.

this was my idea but maybe with another bullet muffler....would another bullet muffler tone it down a good bit?

It might?? but still have alot of rasp. At least with a hooker you will have some mellow tone to the exhaust.
