Default x pipe and ds loop????

I'm having the Dr. Gas x pipe exhaust put on today like the one from the message of " ultimate exhaust". the only problem looks like is the metco ds loop is in the way? does anybody have this type exhaust system and have a loop? or know of where i can get one to fit?

I cut the loop part off of the driveshaft loop, and welded it on to my torque arm. That was the only way I got it to fit.

I have an X-pipe set-up and tried the JEGS welded loop, but it kept hitting my DS... I tried moving it forward, up, you name it and it still hit.

It's the same principal as the Spohn torque arm with the built in DS loop. If it is welded properly, that loop shouldn't move.

Interesting that you should ask this... I decided to do a Dr. Gas x pipe along with my header install. I also decided that it would probally be a good idea to install a loop first, before the exhaust was in the way. Long story shorter, I have a Metco loop on the car along with 3 inch pipe/x pipe. The x is directly below the loop and ground clearance leaves much to be disired, we're talking maybe 2-3 inches. I've got a little rubber shock grommet between the x and loop to keep them from hitting. Speed bumps are no longer an option and I have bottomed the exhaust out a few times. That being said, as low as it hangs, I'm very surprised that it doesn't bottom out more. It's also pretty loud with the bullets on. I have heard that a neighbor was talking with another about calling the cops, something to think about. My car has only been back together for a week so I don't know if I'll keep the exhaust or not, time will tell, but it does sound good. Real good Good luck

The shop that put on the exhaust just took off the loop to put in the exhaust. so now th x is in the way unless i can figure a way to bend it to make it fit or something... but on the bright side, i LOVE the way it sounds...especially without the cats! those bullets in there made the tone very very deep. its not obnoxious loud like i was expecting. when you get on it it gets there but still sounds good..

I just went through this on Wednesday. I have a G2 DS loop and torque arm and there was no way to make it work. Hopefully Dr. Gas will take my x-pipe back. I'm going to have a custom ORP made and put my 4" Mufflex back on.

Exactly what Verbs described is what a friend has done to his Random Tech TQ arm. He just welded a loop to it. The loop fits perfectly. Excellent idea Verbs
